Modern ‘momento mori’ are collected memoria and materials which represented the person who was present in life, made out of colourless resin. These could include necklaces, threads, brooches, perfume bottles, lipstick, textile fabrics, buttons. In another I added a ruler, a tin ‘Sellotape’ container, buttons. Collecting the ephemara attributed to the memory of that person was encapsulated in resins, which under other circumstances would be cleared away, losing the identity and memory of the deceased.
